The Indian Embassy in Yemen marked a significant milestone by celebrating the country's 77th Republic Day, a first in over a decade. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the Indian diaspora, who joined embassy staff at the Aden office. The celebration was a testament to the embassy's resilience and commitment to preserving Indian culture abroad. In a separate development, India's 77th Republic Day parade concluded on Monday with a spectacular display of military prowess and cultural diversity at Kartavya Path. The event featured an extraordinary blend of the 150-year legacy of Vande Mataram, a national anthem that has been an integral part of India's identity. During the parade, Prime Minister Narendra Modi walked along the Kartavya Path, waving to spectators who had gathered to witness the ceremony. The event also saw the presence of President Droupadi Murmu, who was accompanied by European leaders, including President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and President of the European Council Antonio Luis Santos da Costa. The latter duo were in India on a state visit, invited by Prime Minister Modi from January 25-27. The European leaders' presence at the Republic Day celebrations underscored the strengthening of bilateral ties between India and the European Union. As India continues to mark its 77th Republic Day, the celebrations serve as a reminder of the country's rich cultural heritage and its commitment to preserving its national identity abroad.
