Israel has downplayed reports of a postponed visit by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to India, citing a 'strong bond' between the two leaders and their countries. According to a statement from Netanyahu's office, coordination is underway for a new visit date, and the prime minister has expressed full confidence in India's security under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The clarification comes after Israeli media reported that Netanyahu's planned visit to India by the end of the year had been delayed. However, sources in Delhi have revealed that the visit was never formally announced or finalised. In a separate development, Union Minister Piyush Goyal recently met Netanyahu in Israel, where he conveyed Prime Minister Modi's warm wishes and discussed the results of the Business Forum and the CEOs Forum. Netanyahu hailed the meeting as a significant step in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations, with a focus on increased investments, innovation, and economic growth. Netanyahu's last visit to India took place in 2018, marking the second time an Israeli Prime Minister had visited the country. The visit follows Prime Minister Modi's 2017 trip to Israel, which marked a significant milestone in the growing relationship between the two nations.
