India's 2.63 lakh Panchayats will come together on November 26 to observe Constitution Day. To mark this occasion, the Panchayati Raj Ministry will coordinate nationwide events, including mass readings of the Constitution's Preamble in local languages. The Preamble will be read in a relay format, with each state participating for 15 minutes, starting from 10 am to 6:45 pm. The event will be live-streamed on the Ministry's YouTube channel. Additionally, states have been encouraged to organize Preamble Walls through community art and 'Our Village, Our Constitution' gatherings with local youth groups and community organizations. This initiative aims to promote constitutional values and encourage participation in rural areas. Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Diwas, has been celebrated on November 26 since 2015 to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949.
