A 54-year-old woman from Ludhiana has credited an Instagram reel for helping her survive a tragic boat capsize in Mathura, which has claimed at least 15 lives.
Rajinder Kaur Banga recalled a reel that shared tips on how to survive in water, which she followed to stay afloat.
The tips included holding her breath, straightening her body, and continuously moving her legs.
Banga's head struck the boat multiple times after the capsize, but she held strong and avoided inhaling water.
The death toll in the Mathura boat tragedy increased to 15 on Monday as search and rescue teams recovered two more bodies.
The incident occurred on Friday at the Keshi Ghat in Vrindavan, with most of the victims being residents from Ludhiana who had come for a pilgrimage to the UP district.
