Jharkhand's Chowka Police Station Ranks Fourth Nationally for Exceptional Performance

In a notable achievement, Chowka police station in Seraikela-Kharswan district has been ranked as the best in Jharkhand and fourth in the country according to the Union Home Ministry's 2025 rankings. The annual evaluation assesses police stations based on various parameters, including crime data, citizen feedback, infrastructure, and police conduct. The survey, conducted by an independent agency, evaluates over 18,000 police stations across the country. Chowka police station stood out for meeting all the evaluation criteria, including efficient case disposal and charge sheet filing. The station's success is a testament to the Seraikela-Kharswan district police's commitment to their motto 'Seva hi Lakshya' (Service is our Goal). According to Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat, the ranking is a matter of pride for the entire police force. He congratulated the then Officer-in-Charge of Chowka police station, Bajrang Mahato, and all police personnel for their exceptional performance. The Union Home Ministry released the national rankings during the recent DGP/IGP conference in Raipur, highlighting Chowka police station's remarkable achievement.
