The Leader of Opposition in Karnataka's assembly, R Ashoka, has accused the Congress government of neglecting farmers' issues due to an internal power struggle. In response, the BJP's farmers' wing will hold protests across the state on November 27-28 and December 1-2, condemning the administration's 'anti-farmer' stance. Key concerns include the failure to repair the Tungabhadra reservoir gate, delaying second crops, and pending procurement of maize and milk incentive payments. Ashoka recalled that during the BJP's previous tenure, farmers received three times more compensation for flood damage, in stark contrast to the current Congress government's lack of support. The protests aim to highlight the BJP's commitment to farmers' welfare and the Congress government's alleged neglect.
