Thrissur, Kerala: Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has hailed the state's anti-narcotics campaign, Operation Toofan, as successful and urged the public to actively support the initiative to curb the drug menace.

The campaign, launched by the UDF government, has mobilised thousands of volunteers across the state and has been conducting statewide anti-narcotics drives, arresting suspected drug peddlers.

Chennithala said society has begun to recognise the seriousness of the narcotics problem and that public participation is crucial to the campaign's success.

The minister said the campaign is built around three key pillars: enforcement, awareness, and rehabilitation for those affected by drug addiction.

He urged all citizens, organisations, and institutions to extend their full support to the initiative, saying only through collective action can the problem be effectively addressed.
