In a shocking turn of events, a second woman has come forward with a disturbing account of sexual assault against suspended Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil. The victim, fearing repercussions, initially kept quiet about the alleged incident but has now lodged a formal complaint with senior Congress leaders and the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president. According to her email complaint, Mamkootathil lured her to a homestay under the pretext of marriage before subjecting her to a brutal assault. She claims he even pressured her to become pregnant. The woman's complaint also accuses Mamkootathil and his associate, Fenni Nainan, of forcibly transporting her to the homestay and committing the assault. This second complaint has reignited the controversy surrounding Mamkootathil, who is currently at large following the allegations. The Crime Branch had earlier registered a case based on an email complaint from five individuals, but the investigation was stalled due to the absence of the woman's statement. Police had attempted to contact her during the probe, but she refused to provide a formal testimony. The woman's statement is now crucial in invoking serious charges and proceeding with an arrest.
