Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has fired back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comments, accusing the government of dodging crucial issues in Parliament. Kharge's remarks came after Modi said the Opposition is using Parliament as a platform for frustration after electoral defeats. Kharge pointed out that instead of addressing key issues, the government has been bulldozing bills through Parliament 'in haste' and without discussion. He cited examples such as the anti-farmer laws, GST, and the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. Kharge also criticized Modi for remaining silent on the Manipur violence until the Opposition brought a no-confidence motion. He emphasized the need to prioritize issues like the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, deaths of Booth Level Officers (BLOs), and allegations of vote theft. The Opposition has been pushing for immediate discussions on these issues, leading to loud sloganeering and multiple adjournments of the Lok Sabha on the first day of the Winter Session. Kharge demanded that the government end the 'drama of distraction' and engage in meaningful debate on the real issues facing the people.
