In a rapidly changing warfare landscape marked by precision engagements and contested air spaces, Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, emphasized the importance of human skill and resolve in achieving success. Speaking at the Combat Army Aviation Training School in Nashik, Lt Gen Seth noted that while machines have become increasingly advanced, it is ultimately the judgment and skill of aviators that win battles. The Southern Command's army aviation unit has been at the forefront of this transformation, providing a flexible and responsive third dimension to the army's operations. With a blend of manned and unmanned platforms, the unit offers exceptional operational reach, from reconnaissance and surveillance to lift, attack, and precision engagements. However, Lt Gen Seth cautioned that even with cutting-edge technology, the fundamentals of combat flying remain the same. He advised passing out cadets to prioritize situational awareness, adherence to procedures, respect for their machines, and an unwavering commitment to mission safety. The ceremony marked a significant milestone, with the first-ever combined passing out of officers from various courses, including the Combat Aviation Course, Army Helicopter Instructor's Course, and the Combined Internal Pilot and Observers Course. The event also featured a combat aviation demonstration showcasing the integrated employment of helicopters, RPAs platforms, and other assets. As the army continues to evolve and adapt to new technologies, Lt Gen Seth's message serves as a reminder that it is the skill and resolve of its aviators that ultimately hold the key to victory.
