Modi Honours Sathya Sai Baba's Legacy of Love, Service, and Unity

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the late spiritual leader Sathya Sai Baba, whose teachings of love and selfless service continue to inspire millions globally. Modi participated in the centenary celebrations in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, where he offered prayers, released commemorative coins, and postal stamps honouring Sai Baba. At the Hill View Stadium, the Prime Minister praised Sai Baba's vision of a world united in compassion and service. He highlighted the Sri Sathya Sai organisations' contributions to rural development, free healthcare, education, and disaster relief, calling Puttaparthi a 'sacred land with a special divine energy'. Modi cited the success of Sai Baba's initiatives, including the 3,000km drinking water supply pipeline projects and free healthcare institutions that have served hundreds of thousands of people. He also mentioned the impact of the Sathya Sai Trust's Gir cow distribution programme, which he termed a 'transformative step' for rural livelihoods. The Prime Minister urged citizens to support local economies and strengthen the 'Vocal for Local' movement. He praised Sai Baba's message of 'Love All, Serve All; Help Ever, Hurt Never', which he said continues to guide humanity. Other dignitaries, including Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Sachin Tendulkar, and Aishwarya Rai, also shared their spiritual associations with Sai Baba and highlighted his contributions to education, healthcare, and rural development. The Sathya Sai Central Trust chairman, N J Ratnakar, welcomed the dignitaries to the celebrations, which marked a significant milestone in the life and legacy of the revered spiritual leader.
