Modi Unveils 77-Foot Ram Statue in Goa, Celebrating India's Cultural Renaissance

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Goa on Friday, where he unveiled a 77-foot bronze statue of Lord Rama at the Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math. The unveiling marked the 550th anniversary of the Math, an occasion attended by the Prime Minister. The event was part of a series of celebrations that also saw the opening of the newly developed Ramayana Theme Park. Speaking at the event, Modi emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in driving a nation's progress. He noted that India is currently experiencing a cultural resurgence, citing the restoration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the renovation of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham as examples. Modi praised Goa's unique ability to preserve its cultural heritage despite facing numerous challenges throughout history. He highlighted the Math's legacy, which has endured for over five centuries, and said it continues to serve as a symbol of continuity and guidance for the community. In a previous visit to Udupi, Karnataka, the Prime Minister participated in the Laksha Kantha Gita Parayana, a mass recitation of the Bhagavad Gita. The Prime Minister's remarks reflect his focus on promoting India's rich spiritual heritage and its cultural identity.
