In a major development, the Mumbai Police have summoned social media influencer Orry (real name Orhan Awatramani) for questioning in connection with the ₹252-crore drugs case. The Anti-Narcotics Cell's Ghatkopar unit has asked Orry to appear on Thursday at 10 am for interrogation. The case dates back to March 2024, when the police seized a massive 126.14 kg of mephedrone, worth ₹252 crore, from a manufacturing facility on a farm in Sangli district. The probe has revealed that Mohammad Salim Shaikh, who was deported from Dubai last month, had organized lavish rave parties in Mumbai and abroad, attended by several high-profile celebrities, including actors Nora Fatehi and Shraddha Kapoor. According to reports, Shaikh, a close aide of fugitive drug kingpin Salim Dola, had ties with Dawood Ibrahim's gang. The police have also alleged that celebrities such as film producers Abbas-Mustan, rapper Loka, and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique attended the parties. The Mumbai Police probe has shed light on a high-profile racket involving several celebrities and politicians. As the investigation unfolds, more names are expected to surface. The police have already secured the deportation of Kubbawala Mustafa from the UAE, another accused in the case.
