A member of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has alleged a shocking case of abduction and assault in Nanded. Jeevan Ghogare, a former opposition leader in the Nanded Municipal Corporation, was targeted in a dispute over ₹2 crore. According to Ghogare, a group of people in a Scorpio intercepted his car, pelted stones, and dragged him into their SUV. However, Ghogare later claimed he went voluntarily for business reasons, sparking suspicion among police who found him injured and abandoned. Ghogare has accused MLA Prataprao Chikhalikar of planning the attack, citing long-running financial disputes and political rivalry. Chikhalikar, also an NCP member, denies the allegations, calling it a 'political conspiracy.' Seven people have been arrested in connection with the case, including Shubham Sunewad, Rahul Dasarwad, and Devanand Bhole. An investigation is underway, but the truth behind Ghogare's claims remains unclear. Police are working to unravel the complexities of the case and bring those responsible to justice.
