A widespread Netflix outage left thousands of users in the US and dozens in India without access to their favorite shows, coinciding with the highly anticipated release of Stranger Things' final season. According to outage tracking site Downdetector, over 15,000 reports were made at around 6 am, with around 60 reports in India. As fans eagerly awaited the 5th and final season, many took to social media to express their frustration with the outage. 'Stranger Things dropped and Netflix crashed,' one user wrote, while another exclaimed, 'NETFLIX IS DOWN AND I CANT WATCH #StrangerThingsSeason5 NOOOOOOO.' The show's final season, which features a star-studded cast including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, and Millie Bobby Brown, is set to premiere in India on Thursday, with the remaining episodes scheduled for release on Christmas and New Year's Eve. The outage comes on the heels of a massive cloud network outage that affected several major platforms, including ChatGPT and Spotify, earlier this week.
