A National Investigation Agency (NIA) team visited the site of a blast near a police station in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district on Friday. The explosion, which occurred near the Nalagarh police station on Thursday, created a two-and-a-half-foot deep crater, officials said. Investigations are ongoing, with police scanning CCTV footage and collecting forensic evidence. The DIG, Anjum Ara, stated that the NIA team's visit was part of standard procedure in blast cases. Pro-Khalistan groups, Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and the Punjab Sovereignty Alliance (PSA), have claimed responsibility for the blast in a social media post. The groups alleged that the attack was in response to the alleged manufacture of synthetic drugs in Himachal Pradesh and their subsequent transportation to Punjab. However, the authenticity of the social media post has not been independently verified. Despite this, officials have issued directions for all districts to remain on high alert, and coordination has been established with the Punjab Police and the NIA. A case has been registered under sections 324(4), 125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and relevant provisions of the Explosive Substances Act. The investigation is ongoing, with the situation being closely monitored by authorities.
