Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia hailed the Northeast as the engine of India's growth, citing ₹6.50 lakh crore in investments over the last decade under the 'Ashtalakshmi' vision. Speaking in Agartala, Scindia credited the Narendra Modi government for transforming the region through significant budget allocations. He highlighted the Prime Minister's initiative, which has turned the Northeast into a hub of growth, beyond its geographical status. The minister inaugurated ₹365 crore worth of development projects, marking a significant milestone in Tripura's growth journey. The PM-DevINE scheme aims to provide reliable power, education, healthcare services, and livelihood opportunities in remote areas. Scindia is set to launch more projects, including Agarwood in North Tripura and a tourism project in Dhalai district, further boosting the region's development.
