The mother of Deepti Chaurasia, the 38-year-old daughter-in-law of a prominent pan masala brand owner, has made shocking allegations against her husband and in-laws, claiming they subjected her to years of harassment and violence. Deepti was found dead at her residence in Delhi's Vasant Vihar, and the police have registered an FIR against her husband and mother-in-law based on the mother's complaint. According to the mother, Deepti's marriage in 2010 marked the beginning of a long history of physical and mental cruelty at the hands of her husband and his family. Despite promises to stop, the abuse continued, and Deepti was allegedly mistreated by her mother-in-law, defamed in social circles, and excluded from family events. The family's final days were marred by tension, with Deepti's husband traveling abroad and arguing with his wife upon his return. On the day of her death, Deepti spoke to her mother over the phone, mentioning the quarrel and inquiring about her father's health. However, when her mother tried calling her later, she received no response. A diary found in Deepti's room revealed 'relationship issues,' but no specific names were mentioned. Deepti's brother has also come forward, alleging that she was being harassed and tortured by her in-laws and husband. He also revealed that her husband had allegedly married another woman in secret. The family of the pan masala tycoon has yet to respond to the allegations. The Delhi Police are investigating the case, and the mother has demanded a probe by the CBI.
