Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level security meeting to review the rapidly evolving situation in West Asia following US-Israeli strikes on Iran and regional escalation.

The Cabinet Committee on Security expressed concern over the safety and security of the large Indian expatriate community and directed officials to take necessary measures to assist Indian nationals affected by the developments.

With multiple countries shutting airspace and missile and drone attacks reported across parts of the Gulf, New Delhi is closely monitoring the situation and has activated helplines for Indian nationals.

The Ministry of External Affairs has issued advisories urging Indian nationals to exercise utmost caution, avoid non-essential travel, and remain vigilant.
