Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Ayodhya on Tuesday to mark a significant milestone in the construction of the Ram temple. He will hoist a 10-foot-high, 20-foot-long saffron flag on the temple's spire, symbolizing the completion of the grand structure. The flag, featuring a radiant sun symbolizing Lord Rama's brilliance and valour, is expected to convey a message of dignity, unity, and cultural continuity, embodying the ideals of Ram Rajya. Ahead of the ceremony, security has been heightened in Ayodhya, with 6,970 personnel deployed, including commandos, snipers, and cyber experts. A large number of devotees have already arrived at the temple for 'darshan' of Lord Ram. The event is expected to attract domestic and international visitors, and the city is being adorned with elaborate floral decorations. PM Modi will also visit nearby temples, including the Saptmandir and the Sheshavtar Mandir, during his stay in Ayodhya. The flag hoisting ceremony marks the formal declaration of the completion of the Ram Mandir, following the consecration of Ram Lalla in the garbhagriha in January 2024. It is the second symbolic 'pran pratishtha' ceremony, following the 'Bhoomi Pujan' performed by PM Modi on August 5, 2020.
