In the wake of a dismal performance in the recent Bihar assembly elections, Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party (JSP) has decided to dissolve all its organisational units at various levels, from panchayats to the state. The move comes as the party aims to rebuild its structure and identify the reasons behind its defeat. According to party spokesperson Syed Masih Uddin, new units will be formed within the next one and a half months. The decision was made at the party's national council meeting in Patna, which was chaired by state president Manoj Bharti and attended by Prashant Kishor. Senior party leaders have been assigned to head 12 state divisions, tasked with establishing a robust organisational structure. These leaders will hold extensive discussions to pinpoint the causes of the party's defeat and submit a report highlighting instances of indiscipline or internal betrayal. JSP failed to secure a single seat in the Bihar assembly elections, with most of its candidates losing their deposits. The party is now looking to restart and come back stronger.
