Lucknow: In a speech at the 19th National Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts and Guides in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, President Droupadi Murmu emphasized the importance of both competition and cooperation in driving the nation's progress. Addressing the diamond jubilee celebrations, she highlighted how the organization has guided and inspired young participants in nation-building. The President drew attention to the organization's motto, 'Be Prepared,' which she believes is essential for facing future challenges. She also emphasized the role of the youth in achieving the goal of 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047, stating that their collective efforts will play a crucial role in achieving this goal. Murmu praised the youth as both the architects of the country's future and guardians of its cultural and civilizational traditions. She noted that a strong and sensitive individual can empower and inspire others, comparing it to the effect of a lamp lighting multiple lamps. The President also commended the National Jamboree for providing a platform for 35,000 Scouts and Guides from India and abroad to learn new skills, build teamwork, and work together towards a common goal. She expressed pride in knowing that the Bharat Scouts and Guides is one of the largest Scouts and Guides organizations in the world, with over 6.3 million members in India. Governor Anandiben Patel also attended the event, urging the Scouts and Guides to apply the lessons they learned and become agents of positive change in society. The National Jamboree embodied the spirit of a self-reliant, indigenous, clean, and developed India, as envisioned by the country's leaders.
