Rajasthan Sees Major Administrative Overhaul: 48 IAS Officers Transferred

In a major shake-up, the Rajasthan government has transferred 48 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, marking the first major administrative reshuffle since Chief Secretary V Srinivas took charge. The transfers, announced on a Friday night, have seen significant changes in key departments. ACS Shikhar Agrawal has been reassigned from the Chief Minister's Office to Industries, while Akhil Arora has taken over as the new Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister. Praveen Gupta will continue as ACS-Public Works Department and has been given additional responsibilities, including ACS for Tourism, Art and Culture, Chairperson of RTDC, and CEO of the Amer Development Authority. Other notable transfers include Alok Gupta, who has been appointed Chairman of the Rajasthan Pollution Control Board, and Rajesh Yadav, who has been shifted to Director General of HCM RIPA. Several other IAS officers have also been reassigned to various departments, including Finance, Revenue, and Medical Education. The transfers are part of the state government's efforts to revamp the administrative structure and bring in fresh talent to key positions. The move is expected to have a significant impact on the functioning of various government departments and services in Rajasthan.
