Rajasthan Woman's Quick Thinking Saves Family of Three from Drowning After Car Crash

In a heart-stopping incident, a 38-year-old woman from Rajasthan's Dungarpur district saved a couple and their 11-month-old son from drowning after their car crashed into a pond. Surta Parmar, who was busy with household chores, rushed out to find the car submerged in the water with the family trapped inside. As onlookers watched, Parmar took charge and waded into the pond to rescue the family. With the help of her 15-year-old daughter, Ayushi, she managed to break the car's glass and pull out the couple, Dharmesh Yadav and Shilpa, along with their son, Drish. The family was rushed to a local hospital, where the baby was treated and discharged, while the parents underwent surgery for multiple fractures. The incident occurred when the family was on their way to a wedding, and their car hit a divider before plunging into the pond. Parmar, who has been hailed as a hero, said she couldn't bear the thought of the baby crying for help. "I couldn't stop myself from saving them," she said. Dinesh Yadav, Shilpa's uncle, praised Parmar for her bravery, saying that none of the onlookers dared to step forward. "Had not Surta Parmar been there, we would have lost my niece and her family," he said. Parmar's selfless act has not only saved the lives of the family but has also brought attention to the importance of community service and quick thinking in emergency situations. In an interview, Parmar said that her own experiences of facing hardships in life motivated her to save the family. "I know what it's like to be alone and helpless," she said. "I couldn't bear the thought of that baby crying for help.
