Defence Minister Rajnath Singh underscored India's unwavering resolve against terrorism during a nationwide 'Unity March' to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 150th birth anniversary. He invoked Operation Sindoor as a testament to India's unrelenting response to those who reject the language of peace. Singh drew parallels between Patel's leadership and the nation's own commitment to peace, but also its readiness to take bold action when necessary. The Defence Minister praised the Armed Forces for their bravery and dedication in executing Operation Sindoor, which sent a clear message that India is a peace-loving nation that does not provoke others, but will not hesitate to defend itself if provoked. Singh hailed Patel as a key figure in uniting the nation, and highlighted the government's efforts to strengthen his vision of 'One India, Best India' under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. The Minister also emphasized the government's goals for defence production and exports, aiming to achieve ₹3 lakh crore in defence production and ₹50,000 crore in exports by 2029. Singh also touched upon the proposed Constitution (130th Amendment) Bill 2025, which aims to promote ethical behavior and curb corruption. He urged the youth to work towards preserving national unity and achieving a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047, as a tribute to Sardar Patel's ideals.
