Nationalist Congress Party MLA Rohit Pawar met Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal to discuss the death of his uncle, former Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, and the probe into the plane crash that killed him.
Rohit Pawar claimed that Kejriwal was 'surprised' to learn that an FIR into Ajit Pawar's death could not be filed with the Maharashtra Police and extended his support for a detailed investigation.
Rohit Pawar also plans to meet Rahul Gandhi and other leaders of the INDIA bloc, including Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, and Hemant Soren, to seek justice for his uncle's death.
Ajit Pawar died in a plane crash on January 28, and the Crime Investigation Department (CID) is probing the incident.
Rohit Pawar has expressed his disapproval of the CID's pacing of the probe and has questioned the preliminary report released by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB).
