A horrific incident of honour killing has shaken a village in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district. According to police, Kajal Saini's three brothers brutally murdered her and her boyfriend Armaan Chaudhary, a Muslim, after discovering them together on Sunday. The bodies of the couple, who had been in a two-year relationship, were hastily buried in a shallow grave along a riverbank. The victims' families had been at odds over their relationship, with Saini's family objecting to her union with Chaudhary. The police were alerted after Chaudhary's family reported him missing and began searching for him. Following an investigation, senior police superintendent Satpal Antil ordered the exhumation of the bodies on Wednesday evening. The interrogation of suspects led police to the burial site, where they recovered the spade used in the murder. Two of the three accused brothers have been arrested. The incident has sparked tensions in the area, but authorities claim the situation is under control. Additional police forces were deployed to maintain order as the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination. 'The situation is completely under control,' said Satpal Antil, assuring the public that justice will be served.
