In a shocking incident, a 15-year-old boy was kidnapped by four young men who used a fake Instagram profile to lure him into a trap. The accused, who posed as a teenage girl, gained the boy's trust through regular conversations and emotional manipulation. The group then asked the boy to meet them at Nandivali in Kalyan East, where he was allegedly kidnapped and held captive in a residential building. The accused demanded ₹20 lakh as ransom, sending a voice message on WhatsApp to intimidate the boy's family. However, the police sprang into action, analyzing CCTV footage and technical data to track down the cab that dropped the teenager at the location. The driver was questioned, and further leads led the police to raid a room in Nandivali, where the boy was rescued safely and the four accused were arrested. The arrested men, Pradeep Kumar Jaiswal (24), Vishal Pasi (19), Chandan Maurya (19), and Satyam Yadav (19), have been booked under the provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for kidnapping and extortion. A court has remanded all four to police custody for further investigation, bringing closure to the case within 24 hours of the complaint.
