In a rare sighting, Rashtriya Janata Dal's Tej Pratap Yadav met his estranged family members at a Makar Sankranti feast hosted by Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha in Patna. The event, attended by senior NDA leaders, provided a chance encounter between Tej Pratap and his parents Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi, as well as his brother Tejashwi. Tej Pratap, who has been at odds with his family due to his expulsion from the RJD and subsequent allegations of a conspiracy, took to social media to share his experience. He wrote about meeting his parents and brother, saying he had a 'wonderful time' playing with his niece. The former minister also extended an invitation to a 'dahi-chuda' feast he is hosting on Wednesday, a traditional ritual observed in some states during Makar Sankranti. Speaking to media, Tej Pratap expressed confidence that his family will attend the feast, saying 'if my brother's feast won't be a hit, then whose will be.' The development comes after Tej Pratap floated his own political outfit, Janshakti Janata Dal, following his expulsion from the RJD. Lalu Prasad had disowned Tej Pratap due to his 'irresponsible behavior'.
