A special court in Hyderabad has remanded suspended Telangana ASP Nayini Bhujanga Rao to 14-day judicial custody in a disproportionate assets case.
ACB officials conducted searches at 16 locations belonging to Bhujanga Rao, finding documents relating to 27.29 acres of agricultural land, five open plots, two houses, and one commercial building.
They also found ₹3.83 lakh in cash, bank balances of ₹8 lakh, and gold ornaments weighing around one kg at Bhujanga Rao's residence.
The total value of the assets identified was estimated at ₹5.92 crore, although officials said the market value could be several times higher.
Bhujanga Rao was suspended nearly two years ago after being arrested in the phone-tapping case in March 2024.
