Tesla Unveils First Gurugram Charging Station, Boosting India's EV Infrastructure

Electric vehicle leader Tesla has taken a significant step forward in India by launching its first charging station in Gurugram's DLF Horizon Center. This move underscores the company's commitment to building a comprehensive charging network in the country, providing customers with seamless and sustainable mobility solutions. Tesla's India General Manager, Sharad Agarwal, emphasized the importance of creating an ecosystem that supports electric vehicle adoption. 'Our mission is to accelerate the transition to a sustainable future, and a robust charging infrastructure is crucial for this,' he stated. The new Supercharging site, situated in the Surface Parking Area at Horizon Center, features four V4 Superchargers with a peak charging speed of 250 kW and three destination chargers with an 11 kW charging speed. This setup caters to diverse customer needs and ensures flexibility for every Tesla owner. According to Tesla, its Superchargers can recharge a Model Y unit to add up to 275 km of range in just 15 minutes. With the commissioning of this latest site, Tesla now operates three charging stations across the country, equipped with 12 superchargers and 10 destination chargers.
