Tamil Nadu's economy has reached new heights in 2025, with the state securing investment commitments of ₹2.07 lakh crore and generating over 4 lakh job opportunities. Minister for Industries TRB Rajaa attributed this growth to the government's sector-specific policies, which cater to emerging industries such as aerospace and defence, advanced electronics, and maritime manufacturing. The state has made significant strides in promoting its industrial sector, with the establishment of new TIDEL Neo parks and the first-ever State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu industry parks in Tenkasi, Madurai, and Thiruvarur. Tamil Nadu has also strengthened its position in futuristic sectors, including aerospace and defence, and became the first state to launch its own Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme. The state's rise as a global knowledge and capability hub was evident in 2025, with over 50 new Global Capability Centres added and nearly 10 million square feet of office space absorbed. This has led to the establishment of global university partnerships and industry-linked research pipelines, cementing Tamil Nadu's position as a hub for innovation and growth.
