In a shocking revelation, police in Nabha, Punjab, have recovered parts of tractor trolleys allegedly stolen from farmers during protests eight months ago. The recovery came after intense pressure from farmers, who have been demonstrating for two days. According to officials, police excavated the premises of the Nabha Municipal Council's executive officer, Gurcharan Singh Gill, and found several trolley components buried in the compound. The recovery has sparked outrage among farmer groups, who claim the parts were buried to destroy evidence. Gill denied any involvement, stating that he does not reside in the allotted house and instead commutes from his native village. He alleged that Nabha Municipal Council president's husband, Pankaj Pappu, often operated from the premises. Pappu was earlier made the supervisor of the municipal council, Gill said. The Crime Investigating Agency's Patiala Station House Officer, Davinder Singh, confirmed the excavation and assured a thorough inquiry, promising strict action against those found guilty. Pappu has already been booked in the matter. The recovered tractor trolleys were allegedly stolen from the Shambhu and Khanauri border points, where farmers had camped for nearly 13 months, demanding a legal guarantee for the minimum support price of crops. The incident has reignited tensions between farmers and the local administration.
