A devastating incident has shaken a village in Jharkhand's Dumka district, where a 30-year-old man allegedly killed his wife, two children, and then took his own life. The bodies of Virendra Manjhi, his 26-year-old wife Aarti Kumari, and their children Ruhi (4) and Viraj (2) were discovered by the police on Sunday morning in Bardehi village. According to the police, preliminary investigations suggest that Virendra killed his family and then died by suicide. The Superintendent of Police (SP) has visited the scene, and a forensic science team has been called in to assist with the investigation. The family's younger son, Viraj, had been unwell for a few days, and Virendra was scheduled to take him to a doctor. A disagreement between the couple had occurred on the night before the incident, but it is unclear if this was a contributing factor. The bodies of the four deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination at Phulo-Jhano Medical College and Hospital in Dumka. The police are probing the case from multiple angles, and an investigation is underway. For those who may be affected by this story, please note that discussing suicides can be triggering. However, it's essential to remember that suicides are preventable.
