Tragedy Strikes in Andhra's Rywada Reservoir: 3 Lives Lost in Boat Capsizing

A devastating incident occurred at the Rywada reservoir in Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, resulting in the loss of three lives. According to police officials, a small boat carrying four men capsized approximately 150 meters from the shore, leaving only one survivor, Jalada Prasad. The ill-fated boat, which was designed to accommodate only two people, was traveling with an overloaded passenger capacity. The reservoir's depth has made it challenging to retrieve the bodies of the deceased, who have been identified as Ganjai Jeevan. Search operations are currently underway, led by State Disaster Management Force (SDRF) teams. The incident has been reported under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and an investigation is underway.
