In a shocking and disturbing incident, the body of an 8-10-year-old boy was discovered stuffed inside a metal box near the Nakatia river bridge along the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway in Bareilly's Izzatnagar area on Tuesday. Locals were alerted by a foul smell emanating from the box, prompting them to contact the police. According to Additional Superintendent of Police, City, Manush Parikh, initial signs suggest that the boy may have been killed elsewhere and his body dumped at the scene. A forensic team has collected crucial clues, and Senior Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya has formed four teams to investigate the case. Police found a blanket, snacks, and biscuits inside the box, leading investigators to suspect that the child may have been lured with these items before being killed. The exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem examination. The Izzatnagar police are probing the case from multiple angles, including murder, kidnapping, and the possibility of occult-related activity. Efforts are underway to establish the child's identity, and CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined. All missing-person reports filed in surrounding localities are also being scrutinized to determine if the boy was reported missing.
