Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray offered to resign while addressing supporters and party workers in Mumbai.
He said, 'I am not someone who will run away in the face of challenges, but if you don't have trust in me, I am willing to step down.'
Uddhav alleged that the BJP was trying to finish-off his party and said the country was moving towards 'one party, no election.'
He also offered an apology to voters over the 'defection' of MPs, saying, 'I apologise to electors who in 2024 voted for Lok Sabha MPs who have now defected.'
Uddhav praised the Congress and ruled out a merger with the party, saying, 'As long as merging is concerned, Shiv Sena is formed for Marathi manoos. There is no question of merging it with any party.'
