In a spectacular celebration, the 80th anniversary of the United Nations was marked at the ancient monolithic Kailasa Temple in Ellora, India. The event, 'AIKYAM 2025,' brought together artists, scholars, historians, and diplomats from over 30 countries to showcase India's timeless wisdom and living traditions. Renowned historian William Dalrymple spoke about India's 'golden road' to global unity, while UNESCO Director Dr. Timothy Curtis highlighted the legacy of Ajanta and Ellora, India's earliest UNESCO World Heritage sites. The three-day sojourn, organized by AIKYAM, featured a convergence of art, heritage, diplomacy, and sustainability. The event was a testament to the power of cultural exchange and the importance of preserving India's rich heritage. It also reinforced AIKYAM's core message of global unity, responsible cultural tourism, and the harmonious blending of tradition with modern innovation. The festival featured a range of artistic and historical recreations, including a musical performance of the historic 1967 UN General Assembly concert by Pandit Ravi Shankar and Yehudi Menuhin. The event also included specially curated heritage tours, textile showcases, and a celebration of Maharashtrian cuisine. AIKYAM 2025 was a cultural initiative of Sopaan, which aims to create immersive cultural journeys that honor India's heritage while fostering meaningful global dialogue. Founded by Ambassador Monika Kapil Mohta and Siddhaant Mohta, Sopaan continues to build bridges between people, nations, and cultures. The event's message was clear: culture has the power to bring people together and create a shared future for humanity. As co-founder Siddhaant Mohta said, 'AIKYAM is a strategic initiative that reimagines how heritage, performance, and dialogue can come together to build global understanding.'
