Vibrant Tableaux Celebrate India's Heritage, Progress, and Resilience on Republic Day

Kartavya Path in New Delhi came alive on the 77th Republic Day, as 30 vibrant tableaux showcased India's rich cultural heritage, military prowess, and technological advancements. The tableaux were a testament to the nation's growing self-reliance, celebrating its journey from ancient traditions to a modern, technologically-driven society. Under the overarching theme of 'Swatantrata ka Mantra: Vande Mataram' and 'Samriddhi ka Mantra: Aatmanirbhar Bharat', each tableau highlighted a unique aspect of India's progress. The Information & Broadcasting ministry's tableau, designed by renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, told the story of India's storytelling legacy, from ancient oral traditions to contemporary media and cinema. The Ministry of Home Affairs' tableau showcased the nationwide implementation of three critical criminal laws – Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. This represented India's transition to a modern, citizen-centric justice system, driven by technology and time-bound processes. Punjab's tableau commemorated the 350th year of martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru, highlighting his enduring legacy and universal message of unity. The tableau featured the celestial inscription "Ek Onkar" (God is One), symbolizing the eternal truth upheld by Sikh philosophy. The Education Ministry's tableau celebrated India's eternal knowledge legacy, showcasing the vision of the NEP 2020. It highlighted the country's journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047, featuring experiential learning in arts and sports, and a robotic hand fusing tradition with technology. These vibrant tableaux not only showcased India's rich cultural heritage but also its progress, resilience, and commitment to self-reliance.
