Woman Arrested for Staying in Hotel on Fake Documents, Linked to Pakistan and Afghanistan

In a shocking case, police in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, have arrested a woman for allegedly staying in a hotel for six months using forged documents. The woman, identified as Kalpana Bhagwat, was caught during a police check on Jalna Road, where a VIP movement was taking place. During the investigation, the police found that Bhagwat had been receiving ₹32.68 lakh from multiple sources, including 13 individuals from across the country. Notices have been issued to these individuals, who allegedly transferred money to her account without a valid reason. The police also discovered a set of papers titled 'Appointment in the IAS on the basis of Civil Services Examination 2017' with Bhagwat's name, which are currently being verified. Furthermore, her mobile phone revealed international numbers, including those of the Afghan Embassy and Pakistan, as well as a transaction of ₹3 lakh to a foreigner named Ashraf Kil. Bhagwat's WhatsApp chats with foreigners have also been discovered, and the investigation team plans to recover these chats and call records. A case has been registered against her under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections for cheating, forgery, and other relevant provisions. The police are currently investigating her trips to Jaipur, Udaipur, and Delhi, and the motive behind her actions remains unclear.
