Carlos Alcaraz has broken Novak Djokovic's record of most consecutive outdoor hard-court victories, extending his streak to 34 wins. The Spaniard defeated Cameron Norrie in the Indian Wells Masters quarterfinals to achieve this milestone.
Alcaraz hasn't lost an outdoor hard-court match since Miami last year and has won five titles, including two Grand Slam titles, during this streak.
He will aim to cross Pete Sampras' (34) run from 1994 when he takes on Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals on Sunday.
Medvedev is also on an eight-match ATP winning streak, having beaten defending champion Jack Draper 6-1 7-5.
