Milwaukee relief pitcher Abner Uribe has been issued a one-game suspension by Major League Baseball for his unprofessional behavior on the mound. The 25-year-old Dominican right-hander was fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in the Brewers' 6-0 victory over St. Louis.

Uribe delivered a pro wrestling-style 'crotch chop' celebration at the Cardinals dugout after delivering an eighth inning-ending strikeout. He made three 'crotch chop' motions to the Cardinals dugout before walking to the Brewers dugout.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy expressed disappointment and embarrassment over Uribe's behavior, stating that it's 'just unacceptable.' Uribe apologized to the Brewers and his teammates but not the Cardinals, citing a history of being emotional on the field.

Uribe claimed that Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol had made signs to St. Louis pitchers to intentionally hit Milwaukee batters, which he took as a personal affront.
