Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown is looking to redeem himself after a subpar performance in his last game against the Brooklyn Nets. Despite leading the Celtics in scoring for the 12th time in 15 games, Brown committed eight turnovers and struggled in the early going, earning him a stint on the bench. Brown acknowledged his mistakes, saying, 'I was just playing like in the first half. Honestly, turning the ball over, et cetera.' He vowed to improve, adding, 'The team feeds off me, I know that, so I've got to be better.' The Celtics ultimately secured a 113-99 win on the road, with Payton Pritchard contributing 22 points and 10 rebounds. The team's defense tightened up in the second half, limiting the Nets to just 14 points in the final quarter. Boston head coach Joe Mazzulla noted, 'We had 25 points in transition and we had 12 first-half turnovers. When you give them that, they're a good team and they beat you.' The Celtics matched their season-high winning streak at three games and moved above .500 for the first time in 2025-26. The Celtics will face the Nets again on Friday in a home-and-home series. Pritchard emphasized the importance of maintaining their momentum, saying, 'We gotta keep this going, and every game is gonna be a battle, so keep chipping away at it and keep getting better and better.' Meanwhile, Brooklyn's Michael Porter Jr. continues to impress, scoring 25 points for the seventh consecutive game. Despite their young team's growing pains, Porter remains optimistic, saying, 'We got a young team, and we're newly playing together, and I think just been in so many situations in the fourth quarter as a group, that they kind of knew how to execute down the stretch, and we're still figuring that out.'
