CM Dr.Manik Saha Attends Dibaratri Football Tournament Finale.
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha attended the Late Ayat Ali Memorial Dibaratri Football Tournament's final match at Sonamura Sports Ground, where he expressed his enthusiasm for football, calling it the "best of all sports" and the "most popular game in the world." He emphasized that no other game compares to playing football.
The tournament, organized by Baghayatin Club, drew thousands of football fans and featured prominent guests, including MLAs Kishore Barman, Tafazzal Hossain, and Bindu Debnath, as well as District Magistrate Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal and District SP BJ Reddy.
During the event, Dr. Saha highlighted the state government's initiatives to develop sports infrastructure, acknowledging the abundance of sports talent in Tripura. He emphasized the government's objective to enable local players to excel nationally and internationally, enhancing the state's reputation.
Notably, the Youth Affairs and Sports Department has already installed synthetic turf in seven fields to promote football development. Plans are underway to expand this initiative to additional fields.
The tournament, which began on October 20, culminated in a thrilling final match between LSA Kuwait Friends and Brothers United.
