Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman has been benched for the second consecutive game due to his consistent tardiness. The 2024 second-round pick was a healthy scratch against the Houston Texans on Thursday night, a move made by coach Sean McDermott as a result of Coleman's repeated lateness to team meetings. In addition to Coleman's benching, the Bills have also placed receiver Mecole Hardman on injured reserve after he suffered a calf injury in his debut last week. The team has elevated tight end Keleki Latu and receiver Gabe Davis from the practice squad to fill the gap. The Texans, meanwhile, will be without quarterback C.J. Stroud and safety Jalen Pitre for a third consecutive game as they recover from concussions sustained on November 2. Houston kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn has returned to the lineup after missing the last two games with a quadriceps injury. Coleman's performance this season has been notable, with 32 receptions for 330 yards and three touchdowns. However, his tardiness has become a recurring issue, having been previously benched for the first series of a loss to New England in Week 5. With the Bills struggling to find consistency at the receiver position, Coleman's behavior may impact his playing time going forward.
