Teboho Mokoena kept South Africa's FIFA World Cup campaign alive, with a goal in the 83rd minute, scoring a penalty that levelled proceedings.
Czechia scored in the first half, courtesy of Michal Sadilek's fine finish in the sixth minute, capping off a stunning build-up play from a long throw, shooting it past the goalkeeper.
The first-half ended with South Africa getting a chance to equalise in the final minute, but they failed to capitalise on a goalkeeping blunder.
