Novak Djokovic continued his pursuit of a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title with a four-set victory on Wednesday to reach the third round of the French Open.

The 39-year-old Serbian tennis star suggested matches be rescheduled to avoid playing during the hottest part of the day as temperatures in the French capital continue to soar.

Djokovic, who won the match 6-3, 6-2, 6-7, 6-3, will next face 19-year-old Brazilian Joao Fonseca in the third round.

Fonseca, the 28th seed, came back from two sets to love down to win his first-round match in five sets.
