ECU's Houser Shines in 42-3 Rout of Florida Atlantic, Sets Stage for New Season

In a dominating display, Katin Houser led East Carolina to a 42-3 win over Florida Atlantic in their season finale. Houser accounted for four touchdowns, including two rushing scores in the second quarter. He finished the day with 258 passing yards on 20 of 29 attempts and 67 rushing yards. The Pirates' offense got off to a flying start, with Marlon Gunn Jr. scoring on a 1-yard rush in the first quarter. Houser then threw touchdown passes to Dessirio Riles (27 yards) and Brock Spalding (22 yards). Rion Roseborough also scored on his first career rush, a 1-yard dash. Despite the convincing win, Florida Atlantic's Caden Veltkamp set the single-season program record for total offense with 3,465 passing yards.
