England's 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign kicked off with a thrilling 4-2 win against Croatia in Group L. Harry Kane bagged a first-half brace, and Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford scored in the second half.

Rashford, who came in as a substitute, combined with Bukayo Saka in the 85th minute to curl in England's fourth. Saka was also introduced as a substitute.

Jude Bellingham struck gold in the 47th minute, slotting a powerful shot into the bottom left corner, making it 3-2 for England in their FIFA World Cup opener against Croatia.

The goal came at the right moment and gave England the edge in this thriller.

Petar Musa scored for Croatia just before halftime, scoring from an assist from Ivan Perisic.

In the 42nd minute, England striker Harry Kane completed his brace, heading in a corner kick.

Kane's goal came after Martin Baturina's screamer in the 36th minute, as the Croatian scored a thunderbolt from outside the box.

Kane got lucky in the 12th minute after missing his initial penalty attempt, which Croatia goalkeeper Livakovic blocked with ease.

VAR gave Kane another chance, judging that the goalkeeper came off his line too early, and the Englishman converted it with ease.
