New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has been sidelined for the second consecutive week due to a concussion sustained in Week 10 against the Chicago Bears. Despite returning to practice this week, Dart was limited throughout and failed to log a full session, indicating he hadn't cleared the NFL's concussion protocol in time for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. Interim head coach Mike Kafka confirmed on Friday that Dart remains in the concussion protocol and will not play in Detroit. With veteran Jameis Winston set to start for the second week in a row, Russell Wilson will serve as the backup quarterback. The Giants had hoped for a quicker recovery from Dart, but without full participation in practice, he was unable to gain medical clearance. Lions head coach Dan Campbell praised Dart earlier this week, calling him 'an electric player' with 'youthful energy' and 'a spark' that's unique to the team. Dart's absence is a significant blow to the Giants, who are already struggling with a 2-9 record. The team will look to Winston to lead them to a much-needed win against the Lions.
